Three taken to hospital after Lisburn crash

Three people have been taken to hospital after a serious road collision in Lisburn, police have said.

The incident, which involved two cars, happened on the Moira Road at about 22:35 GMT on Friday.

A grey Volkswagen Golf travelling towards Lower Ballinderry Road collided with an oncoming vehicle, a red Volkswagen Golf.

The drivers of both cars and one passenger sustained injuries which are believed to be serious.

All three remain in hospital, the Police Service of Northern Ireland said.

They have appealed for any witnesses or anyone with footage of the incident to get in touch.
