A rail line has been shut after a freight train derailed in Greater Manchester.

The train came off the tracks near Sidmouth Street, Audenshaw, at about 11:40 BST, British Transport Police (BTP) said.

BTP officers and Greater Manchester Police remain at the scene in Tameside and the line is closed while investigations take place.

One person suffered minor injuries, police said.
