A teacher sent naked pictures of himself to girls on messaging app Snapchat while pretending to be a teenage boy.

Jamie Morgan, of Park Close in Erdington, Birmingham, made contact with three girls on the social media platform, using various usernames and telling one he was aged 17.

He sent the girls naked images of himself and persuaded one of the victims to send him a similar image of herself, West Midlands Police said.

Morgan, 27, was jailed for three years and six months, during a hearing at Birmingham Crown Court on Thursday, after admitting three counts of sending indecent images and one of inciting a child to engage in sexual activity, in March.

He was also added to the sex offenders register indefinitely and subjected to a sexual harm prevention order for 10 years.

Det Con Darren English said: "Morgan lied and manipulated his young victims, believing that doing so online and by using a fake identity would shield him from being found out."

He praised the girls for their "great strength" in supporting officers throughout the police investigation.
