Customers could see a rise in the cost of Guernsey Dairy's milk in 2025.

The States, which owns Guernsey Dairy, said the wholesale price would rise by 4.4% from 5 January in-line with inflation.

The shelf price of milk in Guernsey could go up if retailers decide to pass the increased wholesale price on to shoppers.

Mark Thompson, chairman of the Dairy Management Board, said: "Every effort was being made to contain increases, but rising costs inevitably had to be passed on to customers."
