Further arrests in street shooting investigation

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a man was shot in the face in Leeds.

The incident in Mardale Crescent, in Seacroft, came to light after a 34-year-old man attended hospital with a bullet wound to his face on Tuesday.

West Yorkshire Police said one of the men arrested, aged 32, was being held in custody, while the second man, aged 36, had been released under investigation.

Both men were also arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life in relation to an incident in Hawkins Drive, Woodhouse, on 9 May, which officers said was being linked to the attack in Seacroft.

A third man who was arrested on Tuesday in connection with the 13 May incident was subsequently released.
