A man has been arrested after a homeowner discovered they were being burgled on their doorbell camera.

The victim was on holiday when they received an alert informing them of motion outside their home on Pheasant Way in Calverton on Thursday.

When they checked their phone, they saw someone breaking into their house and taking their TV.

Officers said they were called to the property at about 08:35 GMT, minutes after the homeowner received the alert.

Nottinghamshire Police's dog unit led the search of the surrounding area and the TV was found under a blanket in a neighbouring garden.

Officers also found a stolen bike under a cover in the same garden.

Police then entered the property and located a suspect matching the description of the burglar.

The suspect was subsequently arrested on suspicion of burglary.
