Man badly burned in hit-and-run motorcycle crash

An 18-year-old man has been left with "potentially life changing burns" after a hit-and-run crash between a motorcycle and a car, police have said.
Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said the collision happened on Manchester Road in Droylsden, Tameside, at about 14:50 BST on Thursday.
The force said the driver of a white Q50 Sports Infiniti remained at the scene but two people on the motorcycle did not.
It said officers believed two people on the motorcycle were injured in the collision and subsequent flames, with one being potentially seriously hurt.
An 18-year-old man later came forward for treatment for burns.
Police said they were now looking for the second person they believed was on the motorcycle and have urged anyone who saw someone "possibly without lower clothing running nearby around the time" to get in touch.
A GMP representative said it was believed the motorcycle had "accelerated past traffic close to a police car shortly before the incident" and while there was "no pursuit", the force's professional standards directorate were "reviewing the incident as standard practice".
Witnesses or anybody with footage capturing the incident have been urged to come forward.
