Passenger who died in crash with parked car named

A man who died in a crash in Port Glasgow has been named as Scott McFadden.

Mr McFadden, 38, was the passenger in a Volkswagen Golf which struck a parked and unoccupied Peugeot on Clune Brae.

Police said he died at the scene of the incident, which happened at about 21:55 on Monday.

A 50-year-old woman was taken to hospital for treatment.

She was arrested and released pending further enquiries.

Sgt Robert Mackie said: "Our thoughts are with Scott McFadden's family and friends at this difficult time.

"Our inquiries into the full circumstances of this collision are ongoing."

He asked anyone with information to contact police, external.
