A playground in Guernsey has been closed "until further notice" after some of the equipment was vandalised.

Beau Sejour Leisure Centre said the closure was "owing to vandalism" and would affect "certain sections" of the Beau Sejour Playground in St Peter Port.

It said paint had been poured over some of the play equipment and matting.

The playground was resurfaced in 2022 and includes a slide, seesaw and climbing rails.

In a post on social media, Beau Sejour Leisure Centre said: "Our team will look to see how this can be resolved tomorrow, but certain sections of the playground will be closed until further notice.

"We're really sorry for the inconvenience this will cause some, especially over the festive break."
