Three men have been identified as potential key witnesses to a rape in cathedral.

A woman was attacked within the grounds of Hereford Cathedral at about 04:30 BST on Sunday and West Mercia Police said CCTV footage showed the men walking through the grounds at the time.

A 24-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of rape and released on bail while the force said officers would remain in the area to reassure the local community.

Insp Ben Pearson said the men were not believed to be involved but could be key witnesses in helping the investigation.
