Police CCTV appeal over alleged rape in pub bathroom

A woman was raped in the bathroom of a pub in the early hours of the morning, police have said.
The attack was reported to have happened in the Chop House pub on Scarisbrick Avenue in Southport sometime between 00:00 and 02:00 GMT on Friday.
Merseyside Police has released CCTV images of a man officers want to speak to in connection with the incident.
Det Insp Gavin Mulcahy said: "This was an incredibly shocking and frightening ordeal for the victim."
Det Insp Mulchahy added: "Rape and sexual assault can have a huge and long-lasting impact on victims, and our specialist Unity team will provide specialist support to her throughout the investigation and beyond."
Police have asked for anyone with more information to contact them directly.
