A pedestrian who died in a crash was a "doting father" who will be "forever missed", his family have said.
Thomas Scaife was hit by a pick-up truck on the B6412 in Temple Sowerby near Penrith, Cumbria, at about 00:20 GMT on Sunday and died at the scene.
The 32-year-old was from the Eden area.
A man and a woman arrested in connection with the incident have been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
In a statement released by police, Mr Scaife's family described him as a "real character" who played in a pub darts league as well as having an interest in fishing, ferreting and cricket.
They added: "Tom was a doting father, who would have done anything for his two beautiful children who he loved very much.
"Tom was adored by so many people in his life. Tom will be forever missed."
