A Swindon man charged with attempted murder has appeared in court.

Levi Wickett, 37, faced magistrates after a man in his 20s was allegedly stabbed at a property in the town in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The victim was taken to hospital but his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening, police said.

Appearing at Swindon Magistrates’ Court earlier, Wickett was remanded in custody ahead of a plea and trial preparation hearing at Bristol Crown Court on 8 November.
