A man has admitted driving dangerously after a hit-and-run crash near a school left a girl in hospital.

The collision happened at a bus stop near Wymondham High Academy in Norfolk on Monday 8 September.

Georgie Theo was charged with aggravated vehicle taking and dangerous driving, driving without insurance, driving a motor vehicle otherwise than in accordance with a licence and with failing to report an accident.

The 28-year-old, of Fairlight Avenue, Ramsgate, in Kent, pleaded guilty to all of the charges at Norwich Magistrates' Court.

Emergency services were called to Folly Road at 15:30 BST on the day of the crash and the girl was taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital with minor injuries.

A second child was treated for shock but was unhurt and the car thought to have been involved in the crash was found by police officers nearby.

Theo was given conditional bail and told to return to court for sentencing on 20 November.

A second man, in his 20s, was also arrested in Wymondham on suspicion of aggravated vehicle taking and is on bail until 1 December.
