A woman in her 60s and a man in his 70s are being treated for serious injuries after an incident in a Blackpool street.

Lancashire Police said officers were called to reports of a concern for welfare on Stainforth Avenue, Bispham, at about 08:45 GMT on Friday.

The man and woman were found injured and taken to hospital for treatment

An investigation is underway and enquiries are ongoing, police said.
