An antiques centre had goods worth "thousands of pounds" stolen during a break-in, police said.
The burglary was reported at Baddow Antiques Centre, in Great Baddow near Chelmsford, at 23:00 BST on Wednesday.
Essex Police said several suspects forced entry to the premises through a fence, entered two businesses and left the scene in a silver pick-up truck.
The force appealed for anyone with information to contact its officers.
Det Ch Insp Rob Huddleston said: "We understand the impact crimes like burglary have on victims.
"The suspects in this investigation have taken thousands of pounds of goods from innocent businesses."
