Three men have been arrested on suspicion of murder after another man died following a fight in a Rotherham car park.

Police were called at about 00:20 BST on Tuesday to reports of a brawl on Drummond Street, where Lee Davies was found injured.

Mr Davies, 38, from Rotherham, later died in hospital, South Yorkshire Police said.

The three arrested men, aged 26, 37 and 45, remain in custody, officers said, with an arrested 36-year-old woman subsequently released.

Det Ch Insp Ben Wood urged those with any information or relevant footage to come forward.

"You are likely to see an increased police presence in the area and I would encourage anyone with any concerns to speak to our officers," he said.
