Four people were taken to hospital in a serious condition after a car crash in Greater Manchester.

It happened on Walthew Lane in the Platt Bridge area of Wigan just after midnight, police said.

Five people were in the car at the time, but no other vehicles were involved, officers said.

Greater Manchester Police have asked for witnesses to contact them.
