The light aircraft crashed at Belhus Woods Country Park, in Aveley, Essex, shortly after taking off from Damyns Hall Aerodrome, in Upminster, east London, on 7 September 2024.

The Air Accident Investigation Branch said the plane - a Jodel D120 - lost power and "subsequently departed controlled flight".

Its final report is being prepared for publication, according to the Local Democracy Reporting Service.

The Metropolitan Police, London Ambulance Service and Essex County Fire and Rescue Service attended the scene.

A man was taken to hospital with "not life-threatening but potentially life-changing" injuries, police said at the time.
