Two people have suffered serious injuries in a crash outside a school in Devon.

Devon and Cornwall Police said officers were called to the A382 in Teigngrace, near Newton Abbot, at about 05:45 GMT to reports of a two-car collision.

Three people were injured in the crash, which happened outside Stover School, and two were taken to Torbay Hospital in a serious but not life-threatening condition.

Motorists were being advised to use alternative routes until the road reopened.
