Lido refurbishment on track for May opening date

The final details are being added to a 100-year-old lido before it reopens for the summer.
Jesus Green Lido in Cambridge was closed for a month while maintenance works were carried out.
Changing rooms have been refurbished, new steps installed and the pool walls, lanes, signs and ledges repainted.
Managers said after a "lot of hard work" the lido was expected to reopen again on Saturday, 4 May.
The lido lies parallel to the River Cam by Jesus Green Lock and is the joint longest pool in the UK, along with Tooting Bec Lido in south London.
It is one of the few remaining examples of the lidos built across the country in the 1920s and '30s.
It was first opened on 30 August 1923 as the Jesus Green Bath - a 100 yard-long (91m) pool with two shallow ends and a deep centre.
Refurbishing works are expected to be completed on time.
All that is left to do is paint the pool floor and make necessary touch-ups before refilling it.
Assistant manager of the lido, Annabel Wright, said she was excited to welcome people back.
"After a lot of hard work, the refurbishments at the lido are nearing completion," she said.
"Our team members, external contractors and dedicated volunteers have worked beyond to ensure that the project stays on schedule.
"The final details are currently being added and we are on the road for the pool to be refilled and ready to serve our eager customers."
