A free community game held in the hope of getting residents active has returned to an Essex town.

Residents have been tasked with finding hidden interactive boxes in the streets of Harwich in order to win prizes.

The game, Beat the Street, started on Wednesday and will run for the next six weeks.

To play, residents have to create an account and go out to find the special boxes on lampposts. When they tap one box, they have one hour to find another.

There will be 40 hidden boxes in Harwich and Dovercourt.

The game is the result of a partnership involving Tendring District Council, Active Essex, Community Voluntary Services Tendring and Intelligent Health.
