A newly-built splash pad is to open later in Hull following a revamp.
The facility at Bude Park is to replace the previous pool because it was "no longer functional", the local authority said.
Hull City Council said the splash pad provided "a safer, more exciting and environmentally sustainable replacement, ensuring local communities have free-to-access amenities on their doorsteps".
Councillor Rob Pritchard, portfolio holder for culture and leisure, said water play areas in the city were "some of our most popular summer attractions".
“It is a fantastic opportunity for families to enjoy free and accessible water activities on their doorstep, he said.
The Bude Park facility is among several water play areas including East Park and West Park.
