A 61-year-old man has died after the van he was driving crashed in South Lanarkshire.

The accident happened on Sydes Brae in Blantyre at about 17:00 on Thursday.

The driver of the white Volkswagen Caddy van was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police have appealed for anyone who witnessed the crash or who has dashcam footage to contact them.
