A narrow road connecting the main part of Sark to its southern peninsula will remain restricted ahead of repair work.

La Coupée was was shut on Thursday to allow engineers from Jersey and Guernsey to assess a partial wall collapse.

The island's government said the area would be closed while repairs were carried out between Monday and Friday next week.

It said a team of five would stabilise the area and cliff face on the south-western end with reinforced concrete and anchor pins to prevent further collapses.
