A new food festival will help put Guernsey on the culinary map, according to the island's tourism organisation.
Visit Guernsey is hosting The Big Eat Guernsey in April 2026 to celebrate the island's culinary culture and plans to run it annually every April and October.
The festival has been designed to boost tourism and will feature month-long festival menus and participating restaurants and weekend food events, ranging from immersive experiences to meeting local food producers.
Visit Guernsey said it is looking for eateries to sign up for free to the festival by 31 October to be involved.
It said the global food tourism market value in 2024 was approximately £707bn and is anticipated to increase in the next 10 years.
A spokesperson sad: "More travellers than ever are seeking food experiences that connect them to the land, offer the chance to learn about local cuisine and embrace a more sustainable way of living.
"With your help, by delivering a quality authentic experience, we want to make sure Guernsey is on every food traveller's wish list."
Those interested in being involved in the festival are encouraged to email sign up using a form on the Visit Guernsey website., external
