Arrest after woman seriously hurt at music festival

An arrest has been made after a woman was seriously hurt when she hit her head on a steel pipe at a music festival.

The 56-year-old woman suffered a life-threatening injury after she fell when she was pushed at the Upton Blues Festival in Worcestershire on Sunday, West Mercia Police said.

The incident, which happened at about 19:00 BST, caused her face to bleed and she was later taken to hospital.

A 22-year-old woman has since been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm, police confirmed.
