Man arrested after suspected assault in Chatham

A man has been arrested following an alleged serious assault in Chatham.
Kent Police said it was called at about 17:00 BST on Monday after a man in his 30s was found with injuries at a property in the High Street.
He was taken by air ambulance to a London hospital and is in a critical condition, the force said.
A 53-year-old man was later arrested on suspicion of assault and taken into custody.
It is alleged the victim may have been assaulted between 11:00 and 14:00 in Magpie Hall Road, near the junction with Newnham Street.
The Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate has launched an investigation, with detectives asking anyone who witnessed the incident to get in touch.
