Man dies as vehicle crashes into bridge

A man in his 50s was pronounced dead at the scene, police said

Police in Derbyshire are investigating after a man died in a crash.

A Land Rover Discovery collided with a bridge on the B5053 Buxton Road between Buxton and Longnor at about 08:30 GMT on Thursday.

Derbyshire Police said the driver was a man in his 50s, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

The force is appealing for witnesses or anyone with information or dashcam footage to come forward.
