Police name driver killed in collision with tree

Nicholas Parkin was "much-loved", his family has said in a statement

A man who died when the car he was driving left the road and hit a tree has been named by police.
Nicholas Parkin, 52, from Beckwithshaw, died when his blue Citroen C2 crashed on Pot Bank, near Harrogate, on Friday.
North Yorkshire Police said Mr Parkin's family had described him as "a much-loved family member".
Anyone who witnessed the collision, or who saw the car prior to the crash, has been asked to contact police.
