PC cleared of sexual assaults whilst on duty

A Sussex Police officer has been cleared of sexually assaulting two women while on duty.

PC Lee Willis, 49, pleaded not guilty to three counts of sexual assault by touching at Southwark Crown Court in London.

He was found not guilty on all three counts by a jury a on Friday.

Mr Willis, of Worthing, West Sussex, was accused of committing the alleged offences between January and February 2023.

He was suspended from duty.

Sussex Police referred the case to the Independent Office for Police Conduct.

Both organisations have been contacted for comment.
