A prisoner who went on the run after escaping from a hospital in Greater Manchester has been found, police said.

The public was asked not to approach Jonathan Windsor, 31, who "escaped lawful custody while being escorted by prison staff" on Monday.

Greater Manchester Police said he was found in Stockport at about 03:00 BST on Tuesday and is now back in police custody.

Windsor is a prisoner at the Sodexo-managed HMP Forest Bank in Salford.
