Residents will be able to see a developer's plan for regenerating a shopping complex next month.

Berkeley Homes bought the Queensmere and Observatory twin centres in Slough, Berkshire, in the summer.

It said its "landmark" scheme would "reimagine the heart of the town as a vibrant, mixed-use neighbourhood".

The developer, which has previously revamped the town's former Horlicks factory, said it would "celebrate Slough's rich heritage by weaving local history, art and storytelling throughout its public spaces".

A public exhibition will be held at the centre on 13 November.

Elkie Russell, Berkeley Homes' managing director for Oxford and Chiltern, said the plans will "transform" Slough town centre.

She said remaining tenants in the Queensmere centre are expected to leave in January and are set to move into vacant units in the Observatory or the town centre.

Berkeley Homes hopes to submit an initial application for the plan's first phase later this year. Building is expected to start at the end of 2026 and the first residents to move in in 2030.

Freddie Hill, its head of development for Oxford and Chiltern, said: "Our design celebrates Slough's enduring spirit of opportunity and reinvention - honouring its past while shaping its future.

"We are confident that the core elements we've included within our masterplan will create a blueprint for a connected, resilient, and thriving Slough.

"A place where people can live, work, socialise, and grow in an environment that champions community, creativity, and sustainability."
