Train lines through Milton Keynes reopened

All lines have now reopened at a railway station which experienced major delays and cancellations.

Avanti West Coast, which operates through Milton Keynes Central, apologised for the disruption and said on X, external that all lines had been blocked while emergency services dealt with an incident.

The train provider said a person was hit by a train.

At 14:43 GMT it said all lines had now reopened, external but there was alterations to services across all routes still in place.

"We strongly recommend that you continue to check your journey before you travel," the train provider said.
