Train lines through Milton Keynes reopened

Avanti West Coast said services through Milton Keynes Central were cancelled due to an incident on the line

All lines have now reopened at a railway station which experienced major delays and cancellations.

Avanti West Coast, which operates through Milton Keynes Central, apologised for the disruption and said on X that all lines had been blocked while emergency services dealt with an incident.

The train provider said a person was hit by a train.

At 14:43 GMT it said all lines had now reopened but there was alterations to services across all routes still in place.

"We strongly recommend that you continue to check your journey before you travel," the train provider said.
