A man has died after being stabbed in the chest in Barnsley, police have said.
The emergency services were called to Burton Road in Monk Bretton at about 16:25 BST on Sunday to reports of an altercation between a group of men.
Officers said a 41-year-old man was found with suspected stab wounds and despite medical attention was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 21-year-old man, a 32-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman have been arrested on suspicion of murder, South Yorkshire Police said.
A 40-year-old man has been held on suspicion of affray, criminal damage, possession of an offensive weapon and assault, with a 41-year-old man arrested on suspicion of affray and assault.
All five of those arrested remain in custody, the force said.
Det Ch Insp Joanne Kemp said: "We know our communities will be extremely shaken by the tragic incident, and are continuing to work at pace to ascertain the details."
She said the victim's family was being supported and the force was aware of footage circulating relating to the incident.
“I would ask you remember that at the heart of this investigation is a victim and his loved ones," she said.
"We urge you not to share this footage wider, or speculate on social media the circumstances of what has happened."
A number of roads were closed in the area on Sunday, including Burton Road between the Castle Close junction and its junction with Cliffe Lane.
Rotherham Road was also closed at the same junction and footpaths around the Iceland store were also shut.
Some of those remain closed while the police investigation is ongoing.
Anybody with information about the incident is asked to get in touch with police.

Much of the area in Monk Bretton remains taped off on Monday following the stabbing.
A blue and white tent has been placed on the pavement where the 41-year-old victim died.
People have been arriving in tears to lay flowers by the cordon.
Crime scene investigators in white overalls have been searching the area for evidence.
I have also seen them photographing parts of the road as part of their work.
One woman who lives on a nearby road tells me what has happened is “desperately sad”.
She adds that Monk Bretton is usually “a lovely area”.
