A former police officer has been charged with stalking and misusing a police computer.

Ex-PC Kevin Davis, who worked for Devon and Cornwall Police, is due to appear at Exeter Magistrates' Court on Wednesday following an investigation.

Police said the first charge related to allegations the 41-year-old, from Seaton, pursued a course of action which amounted to stalking a woman between January and May 2025.

The second charge was linked to claims he used a computer to secure unauthorised access to a program or data contrary to section 1(1) and (3) of the Computer Misuse Act 1990 during the same dates as the stalking allegations.

Correction 21 August: This article originally reported that Kevin Davis was charged with stalking and misconduct in a public office. Devon and Cornwall Police have issued a clarification and we have updated this article to reflect that the second charge was not misconduct in a public office and it now correctly states that this charge was misusing a police computer to gain unauthorised access to information.
