BBC Three seeks West Midlands documentary pitches

BBC Three is asking production companies based in the West Midlands to pitch ideas for a new current affairs documentary.
The Invitation to Pitch initiative aims to boost content production in the region.
Companies are being asked to put forward ideas for a 60-minute current affairs film.
Nasfim Haque, head of content for BBC Three, said the offer was a "great opportunity for West Midlands indies".
The new initiative is the first opportunity to be made available through the West Midlands IP Fund, which aims to provide development funding in the region.
The fund is supported by the West Midlands Combined Authority and Create Central, and is being delivered by Creative UK.
Ed Shedd, chair of Create Central, an organisation which brings together the region's most successful TV, film, games and wider creative content business leaders, said it was "thrilled" to launch the scheme.
"Ideas are the driving force behind the creative economy, and this initiative marks a significant opportunity for local production companies to contribute to a growing, sustainable creative hub in the West Midlands," he said.
"By investing in high-quality intellectual property and fostering homegrown talent, we are not only boosting the region's creative output but also generating real economic value and opportunities for new talent."
