Man admits to killing housemate

A man has admitted to killing his housemate who died of multiple stab wounds.

Richard Chamberlain, 34, was found with a number of stab injuries at a property in New Market Street, Colne, on 31 March, Lancashire Police said.

He died a short time later.

Frank Wrona, 44, of New Market Street, Colne, pleaded guilty to his murder at Preston Crown Court on Wednesday.

He was remanded back into custody to be sentenced at a later date.

A Lancashire Police spokesman said: "Our thoughts remain with Richard’s family who continue to be supported by specially trained officers."
