A man had had to be freed from a guided bus after a collision with a van, a fire service said.

Crews were called to the Luton-Dunstable Busway, external, close to Luton Station, at about 12:12 BST after a bus heading towards the station crashed into a van.

A 41-year-old man was freed from the bus by Bedfordshire Fire & Rescue Service using cutting equipment before he was passed into the care of the ambulance service.

Bedfordshire Police said the bus route would remain closed while vehicles were recovered.
