Police called after sheep escaped on to major road

The owner of a flock of sheep was asked to come forward after they escaped on to a road in Warwickshire.

Police cleared the A45 near Ryton following the incident on Saturday morning.

A Warwickshire Police statement said officers were trying to identify the owner and make contact with them.

The animals have since been returned safely to their home.
