Mother died of head injuries, inquest hears

An inquest into the death of a mother whose body was found at her home in Spalding has opened and adjourned.
Kristine Sparane, 37, was discovered at a property in Winsover Road at about 19:30 GMT on 26 November.
Brian Simpson, 64, of Nene Court, Spalding, is charged with her murder and is due to appear at Lincoln Crown Court on 9 January for a plea and trial preparation hearing ahead of a trial, which is provisionally set for 19 May 2025.
Opening the inquest, coroner for Greater Lincolnshire Paul Smith confirmed Miss Sparane's preliminary cause of death to be head injuries following a post-mortem examination on 28 November.
Miss Sparane was born in Latvia and worked as a retail assistant. She was single and lived with her children in Winsover Road.
Her body was formally identified by an ex-partner on 3 December.
The inquest has been adjourned until 28 May 2025.
