Man charged with wife's murder appears in court

A man charged with murdering his wife in Wolverhampton has appeared in court.

Shivinder Sandhir, 41, was not required to enter a plea at the city's crown court on Friday.

He has been remanded in custody until the next hearing in around six weeks' time.

His wife Anjanee Sandhir, 39, was found with serious injuries at an address on Finchfield Road at about 20:20 BST on Monday and confirmed dead at the scene.

Mr Sandhir was arrested the same evening and was charged with murder on Tuesday.
