A man who raped a woman multiple times has been jailed for 14 years.
Kevin Clarry was sentenced after being found guilty of three counts of rape on Monday following a trial at Carlisle Crown Court.
The 41-year-old, of Charles Street in the city, was also given an indefinite restraining order and put on the sex offenders register for life.
Cumbria Police said the offences related to attacks against one woman.
Det Con Tony Wheatcroft said sexual offences could be "extremely difficult for victims to speak about", but added support would be available.
