Woman hit by taxi suffers life-threatening injuries

A woman hit by a taxi has been taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries, police have said.
The crash took place shortly after 01:00 GMT in Prince Regent Street, Stockton-on-Tees.
Cleveland Police said the taxi driver was helping officers with their inquiries.
Members of the public are being asked to avoid the area.
The crash happened between the junctions with Bishopton Lane and Dovecot Street, near to KFC.
A full road closure has been put in place by the police.
Officers are asking anyone with information about the crash to come forward.
