Attempted rape arrest after girl, 14, assaulted

A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempting to rape a 14-year-old girl in Sheffield.
The teenager was attacked as she walked through the Tongue Gutter area, near Deerlands Avenue, at around 15:50 BST on Thursday, South Yorkshire Police said.
A 36-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of sexual assault and attempted rape in connection with the incident and remains in custody.
Anyone with information about the incident has been asked to contact the police.
