What happens when you place a piano in the middle of a shopping centre?

BBC Radio Lincolnshire was gifted one by a listener and thought it would be a good idea to take it on tour.

It was placed in Hildreds Shopping Centre in Skegness and plenty of shoppers enjoyed tickling the ivories.

Some played popular numbers, such as Oh When The Saints Go Marching In, while others tried their hand at classical and one even used her knuckles to knock out a tune.

Shoppers young and old sat behind the keys and impressed, with plenty of people stopping to listen.

Others, however, seemed more reluctant.

One woman said: “I can’t play to save my life”, while another added: “Only time I sing is in bath and I’ve had that ripped out, so I don’t sing anymore.”
