A housing developer has signalled its intent to build a 390-home development next to the M1.

Redrow Homes Midland has submitted documents to Blaby District Council asking whether an environmental impact assessment (EIA) is required as part of a planning application for a housing development on land at Bloods Hill in Kirby Muxloe, Leicestershire.

An EIA sets out the likely environmental impacts of a project and how they can be mitigated.

According to plans, 25% of the 390 homes on the 78-acre site would be classed as affordable.

The developer has said an application for planning permission was "likely" to be submitted in full.
