  • Published

Four motorbikes were seized and two men were arrested following reports of dangerous driving on a motorway.

Essex Police was alerted to about a dozen bikes allegedly driving dangerously southbound on the M11 at about 15:40 BST on Saturday.

They were intercepted as they headed into Birchanger Services, near Stansted Airport.

A 35-year-old man from Enfield was arrested on suspicion of drug-driving and released pending further investigation while a second man was arrested for a public order offence before being later de-arrested.

A police spokesperson said: "Four motorbikes were seized using police anti-social driving powers and a number of riders were reported for road traffic offences."

The force is asking for people with any relevant dashcam or other footage to get in touch.
