Person airlifted from M25 lorry crash

The collision happened on the clockwise stretch near Waltham Cross

One person has been airlifted to hospital after two lorries crashed on the M25.
The East of England Ambulance Service said it was called just after 08:20 GMT to the motorway near Waltham Cross in Hertfordshire.
A second person was taken to hospital by a road ambulance.
National Highways said the incident happened on the clockwise carriageway , externalbetween junction 25 at Waltham Cross and junction 26 at Waltham Abbey, at the Holmesdale Tunnel.
At about 14:07, National Highways said the clockwise carriageway had reopened, external, however, lanes one and two past the scene remain closed for resurfacing work.
It said there was six miles of congestion on approach causing more than 60 minutes of delays.

Traffic was also stopped on the M25 near Brentwood in Essex because of a collision and vehicle fire
Earlier, traffic was stopped on the anti-clockwise carriageway of the motorway between junction 29 at Romford in east London, and junction 28 at Brentwood in Essex, following a collision and vehicle fire.
All lanes had reopened by about 07:55, but there continued to be congestion stretching back to the Lakeside shopping centre at West Thurrock.
