Avon and Somerset Police have arrested two people after the incident in Hartcliffe

Two people have been arrested after a man was left with life-changing injuries after an assault.

Avon and Somerset Police were called to Englishcombe Road in Hartcliffe, Bristol on Saturday at 16:00 BST.

A police spokesperson said: "One man was taken to hospital, his injuries are believed to be life-changing."

One of the people arrested has since been released on conditional bail as police enquires continue.
